The SHOW TOOLS command reveals (and the HIDE TOOLS command conceals) the buttons that can be used instead of the menus. If, like me, you would rather click buttons than pull down menus, just use the SHOW TOOLS command to reveal command buttons. Each command button has an icon which should make it fairly easy to remember what the button does. In this Help stack, these icons are displayed with the menu commands to which they correspond. There is even a SHOW TOOLS button, though it is invisible. It is located just beneath the lower left corner of the slide "frame". Clicking on it will cause a "windowshade" icon, like the one shown at the left, to appear and "roll up" at that spot. This windowshade is the icon for the HIDE TOOLS command. Clicking on the windowshade will cause it to roll down, and all the command buttons will disappear again. There isn't room to show all the command buttons at once in SmartSlides, so they are grouped by function, and appear in groups as appropriate. Among the buttons that appear when you invoke SHOW TOOLS are three buttons whose icons are also shown at the left, beneath the windowshade icon. These are the SHOW FIELD TOOLS, SHOW BUTTON TOOLS, and SHOW DRAW TOOLS command buttons, respectively. Clicking any of these will display a related set of command buttons.
